Police Arrest Two After Seizing Ghost Gun in Springfield

Police in Springfield, Massachusetts, arrest two individuals following the seizure of a ghost gun and ammunition during a raid at a Suffolk Street residence. The home was tied to 18-year-old Allens Batista-Quesada, under investigation for illegal firearm possession, prompting the early morning operation by the state’s gang unit and local firearms investigation team.

During the search, officers recover a 9mm ghost gun, which can circumvent serial number identification, along with an extended magazine and additional rounds of ammunition. Both Batista-Quesada and 20-year-old Brenliam Rivera face multiple charges, including possession of a firearm without an FID card and possession of a large capacity magazine, raising concerns about firearm accessibility and safety in the community.
