The victim of a recent shooting on Branch Avenue in Providence has been arrested for illegal firearm possession, including a weapon equipped with a 31-round magazine. Nelson Forkpa, identified as a known associate of local gangs, was apprehended while recovering his belongings at police headquarters following the shooting incident.
During the investigation, authorities executed a search warrant at Forkpa’s residence, where they discovered and seized two firearms concealed on the rooftop, both modified with machine gun conversion devices. Forkpa faces multiple charges, including the possession of a ghost gun, as police continue to address gang-related violence in the area.
