Whitehorse RCMP are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in an armed robbery at the Edgewater Hotel on February 17, 2025. Shortly after 8:15 AM, an unidentified man, described as Caucasian, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, and in his mid to late 30s, entered the hotel lobby wielding a weapon and demanding money.

The suspect was wearing a light blue coat and a dark toque during the incident. Authorities urge anyone who may have encountered this individual to refrain from approaching him and to call the police at 867-667-5555 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. This call for public assistance emphasizes the seriousness of the crime and the urgency of bringing the suspect to justice.
