According to the county’s latest report, firearm-related suicides decreased by 19% in just one year, while overall gun-related homicides fell by 21% since 2020. Officials emphasize the importance of continuing these efforts, with over 2,600 firearms voluntarily turned in at county events since 2021 and 368 criminal charges filed related to ghost gun activities in 2024.
