San Pasqual School District Enhances Security Measures

The San Pasqual Valley Unified School District has heightened its security protocols in response to a social media threat of gun violence directed at the school. Interim Superintendent Queana Givens-Jarvis announced that students will now enter through the cafeteria, where they will undergo bag checks and be screened with metal detecting wands, with these measures remaining in place for the rest of the week.

While the district has not disclosed specific details about the threat, their commitment to safety is clear. Parents are urged to minimize students’ belongings during this time, emphasizing the importance of a secure learning environment. The investigation is ongoing as officials work closely with law enforcement to ensure the safety of the school community.
