This week, Schenectady police execute two significant raids, resulting in the arrest of two suspects and the confiscation of various narcotics and firearms. During the first operation on April 30, officers arrested 55-year-old David D. Brown after uncovering large quantities of crack cocaine and fentanyl, along with a handgun, at a property on Stanley Street.
Just days later, on May 2, 29-year-old Karina Cotto was taken into custody at another location on Paige Street, where police seized additional cocaine and two more handguns. Authorities confirmed that while the raids were part of ongoing efforts to combat drug and gun violence in Schenectady, the two investigations were unrelated. These incidents highlight the city’s ongoing battle against narcotics and illegal firearm possession.
