The St. Joseph County Police Department has arrested 22-year-old Lucas Conner Jr. for armed robbery and criminal confinement following a collaborative effort by local and federal law enforcement. Conner is wanted in connection with a robbery that took place on March 29, 2024, at an Advance America Cash Advance, where he and an accomplice allegedly threatened a branch manager at gunpoint and stole nearly $1,944.
During the robbery, the suspects not only displayed firearms but also coerced the manager into retrieving additional cash from the back office. Police identified Conner through surveillance footage and evidence from a vehicle connected to the crime. Additionally, a witness linked the case to a suspicious individual who had been at the cash advance location prior to the incident, highlighting the collaboration that led to Conner’s arrest.
