A 20-year-old man from Tampa, Darine Underwood, is sentenced to ten years and five months in federal prison for his role in the armed robbery of a mail carrier. On September 5, 2023, Underwood and his accomplice, Jordan Murray, approached the mail carrier at an apartment complex while wearing masks and gloves, forcibly taking the mail carrier’s keys while brandishing a firearm.
Prior to Underwood’s sentencing, Murray pleaded guilty and was sentenced to more than nine years in prison, highlighting a troubling trend in armed robberies targeting postal workers.
