New Orleans police have arrested 17-year-old Nathaniel Freeman, linking him to two shootings and an armed robbery that occurred in various neighborhoods over the past few months. The police took him into custody in the 4800 block of Shalimar Drive, backed by the NOPD FBI Gang Task Force, as he was wanted for a February armed robbery and two separate shootings in the West Lake Forest area.
During the arrest, officers recovered two handguns from Freeman’s vehicle, one of which featured an extended magazine. He faces multiple charges, including armed robbery with a firearm and aggravated second-degree battery. This series of violent incidents has raised concerns in the community about safety and crime trends in New Orleans East.
