A 16-year-old boy has been charged with 10 felonies, including second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, related to a spree of armed robberies in the Dinkytown area of Minneapolis. Court documents indicate that the investigation started after multiple robberies were reported around the University of Minnesota, with police responding to the first incident in late March.
The teenager was arrested following a police chase in a stolen vehicle, during which a handgun matching the one used in the robberies was recovered. Notably, he was also identified as wearing the same shoes as the suspect in several robbery cases. The teen’s arraignment is set for July 2, and authorities continue to seek information from the public regarding these incidents.
