York Regional Police have charged two 17-year-old males from Toronto in connection with multiple armed robberies and an attempt at carjacking that occurred on April 15. The pair allegedly used a stolen Honda Civic to commit a robbery at a cellphone store, where a victim was injured by a hammer during the incident.
The suspects’ crime spree continued with a failed attempt to carjack a Mercedes GLC300, leading police to track the stolen vehicle using aerial surveillance. Both teenagers now face serious charges, including armed robbery and possession of stolen property, prompting investigators to seek witnesses or any video evidence from the scene.
