Ukraine Boosts Artillery Supply with New European Support

Ukraine’s Armed Forces are set to enhance their artillery capabilities with hundreds of modern howitzers produced domestically and a robust supply chain receiving over 100,000 munitions monthly. The Czech Republic’s defense minister announced that a coalition effort has delivered 400,000 shells to Ukraine’s military since the beginning of 2025, securing funding for continued supplies until autumn.

As Ukraine fills a critical gap left by U.S. embargoes on arms, European nations, including Canada and Denmark, are stepping in to bolster artillery production. With projections suggesting that European manufacturers could produce approximately two million artillery shells in 2025 alone, Ukraine may strengthen its defense capabilities significantly, reducing previous artillery firepower disparities with Russian forces.
