The Czech Republic’s defense minister announced that a coalition effort has delivered 400,000 shells to Ukraine’s military since the beginning of 2025, securing funding for continued supplies until autumn.
As Ukraine fills a critical gap left by U.S. embargoes on arms, European nations, including Canada and Denmark, are stepping in to bolster artillery production. With projections suggesting that European manufacturers could produce approximately two million artillery shells in 2025 alone, Ukraine may strengthen its defense capabilities significantly, reducing previous artillery firepower disparities with Russian forces.
