A 45-year-old man from Waldorf, Daniel Michael Harris, pleads guilty to multiple armed robberies and faces a prison sentence of 13 to 17 years. Between March 23 and March 29, 2023, Harris and co-conspirators executed a series of armed hold-ups at convenience stores in Prince George’s, Charles County, and Montgomery counties, using a shotgun during their crimes to intimidate employees and steal cash and goods.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office revealed that law enforcement uncovered Harris’s clothing and the shotgun used in the robberies during a search of his storage unit in November 2023. His sentencing is scheduled for July 18, raising questions about the impact of such violent crime on local communities in Maryland.
