War Cry 4 Peace Honors Families of Gun Violence Victims

The War Cry 4 Peace organization hosted its “Run Your Race…& Finish” event on June 1, celebrating the lives of gun violence victims and offering support to their families. The event, held at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center, featured heartfelt testimonials, including one from Fashun Ivery honoring her father, who was tragically killed in February 2023.

In addition to the emotional tributes, the event included a youth sports clinic and awards, reinforcing the community’s unity in the face of tragedy. Led by president Kimberly Pompey Wilkerson, War Cry 4 Peace is dedicated to empowering families affected by gun violence, providing them with vital comfort and resources during their difficult times.
