Asheville police are investigating three separate shootings that occurred over the weekend, resulting in one arrest. Officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire, finding numerous shell casings and damaged property at each site, with the most recent incident leading to the apprehension of Stanley Wells, a 34-year-old man charged with various firearm-related offenses.
Upon their arrival to the first shooting on Saturday, officers discovered 18 shell casings, while a subsequent call on Sunday revealed 25 more casings. Despite the extent of gunfire, police reported no injuries in any of the shootings, which leaves open questions about the circumstances and motivations behind these incidents. Authorities urge anyone with additional information to come forward.
