Wisconsin DNR Seeks Landowners for Disability Hunt

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) seeks landowners with at least 60 acres of property to host the Gun Deer Hunt for Hunters with Disabilities, scheduled for October 4-12, 2025. This initiative provides crucial opportunities for individuals with physical challenges to participate in deer hunting—a beloved annual tradition in the state.

Since its inception over 30 years ago, this special event has welcomed approximately 400 hunters each year, showcasing the DNR’s commitment to inclusivity in outdoor recreational activities. Landowners interested in participating have until July 1, 2025, to submit an online application, playing a vital role in ensuring that everyone can experience Wisconsin’s rich deer hunting culture.
