Law enforcement in Yuba County has eradicated nearly 7,000 marijuana plants during a series of targeted search warrants aimed at illegal cultivation. The operation, which involved the Marijuana Enforcement Team and regional SWAT members, also led to the discovery of illegal firearms and hazardous pesticides, raising additional environmental concerns.
Two men were arrested during the operation: 34-year-old Noe Calleja and 61-year-old Zhiming Huang, both facing multiple charges including felony marijuana cultivation and resisting arrest. The scale of the illegal operations highlights ongoing challenges in regulating cannabis activities in the region.
