Police apprehend 18-year-old Thomas Edward Talbert less than 24 hours after the armed robbery of Smokers Express in Duncansville, where he allegedly stole only $250. Talbert, described as homeless at the time, reportedly confessed to the crime, revealing that he threatened a store employee with an airsoft gun while demanding cash and cigarettes.
Investigators launched a swift manhunt after a panic alarm signaled the robbery on March 24. Witnesses provided helpful tips, and items believed to belong to Talbert were found shortly after the incident, leading to his arrest. He was charged with multiple offenses, including robbery and reckless endangerment, and is currently being held in Blair County Prison with a bail set at $50,000.
