The incident, which occurred around 4 p.m. on a Wednesday, escalated into a police chase after officers spotted the suspects attempting to flee on Interstate 71, leading to a dramatic crash.
During the chase, Hobbs reportedly demonstrated extreme recklessness, endangering the lives of multiple law enforcement officers. Court documents reveal that he has a lengthy criminal history, including previous charges for robbery and burglary, while Kimberly was with him as a passenger and faces robbery charges as well. Both men are currently held on substantial cash bonds, with Hobbs’s bond set at $200,000 due to the severity of the allegations.
