Armed Robbery at Hawthorne Convenience Store

Alachua County deputies are actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Eastside Food Store in Hawthorne, Florida, around noon on Tuesday. Witnesses reported two suspects, described as black males wearing black clothing and ski masks, entered the store shortly before noon, with one armed with a handgun, demanding cash from the employees.

Following the incident, both suspects fled the scene on foot, prompting an extensive search involving K9 units and drone support from Alachua County Fire Rescue.
