As part of the investigation, police recovered multiple firearms, including an “AR-type” pistol, and arrested two additional men related to the armed robbery on Cortereal Avenue, where a teenage suspect had also been apprehended earlier. The connection between the robbery and Robinson’s murder highlights an ongoing issue with gun violence in the area, prompting increased police efforts to address safety concerns in Oakland.
