The case stems from an incident on April 14, 2023, when Bridgewater and an accomplice reportedly threatened a store clerk with a gun at the Speedy Stop on College Street, leading to a swift police response.
The robbery triggered a high-speed pursuit after officers attempted to stop a vehicle identified as the suspects’ getaway. Bridgewater was apprehended as a passenger in the stolen car, which contained evidence linking them to the crime. This case was prosecuted under the nationwide Operation Take Back America, highlighting the joint efforts of law enforcement to tackle violent crime in communities.
