Galesburg police have arrested 67-year-old Grayling Churn in connection with an armed robbery at Flavor Freeze ice cream shop, which occurred on Thursday night. Officers responded quickly after the suspect allegedly left the scene with a bank bag filled with cash, prompting a pursuit that ended with his capture several blocks away.
In addition to charges of aggravated robbery and fleeing from the police, Churn is being investigated for possible involvement in other recent robberies in the Galesburg area. He is currently held at the Knox County jail, raising questions about the potential string of offenses linked to this suspect.
