Birmingham Man Found Guilty of Gun and Drug Crimes

Frederick Temple, Jr., a 35-year-old resident of Birmingham, is convicted of possession of a machinegun and drug trafficking, as confirmed by U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona. The conviction stems from evidence that Temple distributed fentanyl on two separate occasions, leading to a search warrant executed by the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force at his residence.

During the search, investigators recovered multiple firearms, ammunition, and various drugs along with drug paraphernalia. Authorities emphasize that the combination of drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession contributes significantly to the challenges facing communities today. Recognizing this issue, the ATF plans to continue its collaborative efforts with local and federal agencies to combat such criminal activities and restore safety.
