As Detective Greg Welsh, the in-house Firearms Examiner, notes, having immediate access to this advanced equipment is crucial for providing timely answers to families affected by gun violence, with potential ties to the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN) to connect evidence across jurisdictions.
