Antwan Kelsor, 22, and Maurice Deloach, 23, have been charged with multiple felonies, including armed robbery and identity theft, for their alleged involvement in the armed robbery of a mail carrier in Hinsdale in May 2022. Authorities allege that Deloach threatened the mail carrier at gunpoint to obtain a postal key, which allowed the pair to access and steal thousands of checks from multiple collection boxes across the suburbs.
According to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, the stolen checks totaled over $508,000, with Kelsor and Deloach then attempting to deposit and withdraw money from various accounts. The two men were apprehended after a police investigation traced their actions following the robbery. Kelsor is scheduled to return to court on June 5, while Deloach’s next appearance is set for June 9, making the timeline of this case significant as it progresses through the legal system.
