Child Killed, Man Injured in Blytheville Shootings

A child has died and a man is hospitalized following two separate shooting incidents in Blytheville, Arkansas, as police investigate the circumstances surrounding both events. On Friday, officers discovered a juvenile victim dead on Myrtle Street, leading to the arrest of 18-year-old Eddie Garner, who faces charges of negligent manslaughter and is expected to appear in court on Monday.

In a related incident on Sunday, emergency responders rushed to North Ruddle Road to assist a man who had been shot, with the victim now receiving treatment at a Memphis hospital. Authorities have issued a warrant for 24-year-old Leon Henderson, connected to this shooting. The Blytheville Police Department urges anyone with information about Henderson’s whereabouts to come forward.
