Community Advocates Promote Gun Safety in Cincinnati Park

Volunteers and community organizers gather in Over-the-Rhine’s Grant Park to address gun safety, aiming to create a safer environment for local families. With the event organized by figures like Dorron Hunter from the Urban League, advocates highlight the importance of safe gun storage and fostering community connections to combat recent gun violence.

Among the participants, Pat Krummrich of Moms Demand Action emphasizes the significance of responsible gun ownership, stating, “If you care about a child that lives in West Chester, you should care about a child who lives near Grant Park.” The event successfully distributed nearly two dozen gun locks to concerned residents, reinforcing the collective effort to promote safety in areas affected by gun violence.
