Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Saturday morning in Milton, where two masked suspects allegedly impersonated officers to confront a victim. The incident took place around 2 a.m. as the victim, traveling on Burton Road, was flagged down by a vehicle flashing red and white lights, leading to a dangerous encounter with the assailants.
During the robbery, one suspect armed with a knife demanded the victim’s wallet while the other brandished a firearm. After inflicting injuries to the victim’s face, the suspects fled in their vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money. Authorities have issued a warning that the suspects may be impersonating law enforcement, and they encourage anyone with information to contact Detective C. Simpson at 302-752-3855.
