Duo Arrested for Armed Robbery Over PS5 Transaction

A 23-year-old man and woman were arrested in Yucca Valley after allegedly robbing a victim at gunpoint during a planned meeting to purchase a PlayStation 5. The incident took place on February 22, when the victims arranged to meet the suspects, who had posted a fraudulent Facebook Marketplace ad for the sought-after gaming console.

During the meeting, the suspects negotiated the price with the victims before one suspect brandished a firearm and demanded money, ultimately fleeing with $360. Both suspects were apprehended on Friday and face serious charges, including Armed Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, with bail set at $100,000 each.
