Falmouth police apprehend a man early Sunday morning, recovering two illegal firearms during a traffic stop prompted by an equipment violation. Officers initiated the stop around 2:30 a.m. on Sandwich Road, where they noticed unusual movements from the driver that raised suspicions.
Upon removing the driver from the vehicle for a safety check, police discovered a firearm on his person, alongside an illegal extended round magazine and a second firearm found inside the car. The man did not possess an active license to carry firearms and was reportedly intoxicated at the time of his arrest. He also faces charges related to narcotics discovered during the incident, with arraignment scheduled for Monday morning at Falmouth District Court.
