In a major operation, federal law enforcement officers seize over 100,000 presumed fentanyl pills and multiple firearms from a Vallejo daycare, leading to the arrest of eight individuals. This raid, which uncovered 11,000 pills along with $100,000 in cash, marks the culmination of a year-long investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the FBI, aimed at dismantling criminal activities linked to local gangs.
Among those arrested is the daycare’s operator, who faces child endangerment charges following the operation that coincided with a parent’s presence during drop-off. The raid also extends to a nearby Super 8 motel, identified as a hub for illegal activities, where additional firearms and significant quantities of methamphetamine were confiscated, raising concerns about gang violence in the area.
