Two men were arrested in Groveland, California, after a routine traffic stop unveiled a stash of drugs and a ghost gun, which lacks a serial number. The encounter began when a Tuolumne County Sheriff’s deputy pulled over their vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign and noticed several vehicle code violations, leading to a search that turned up multiple used hypodermic needles and a loaded firearm beneath the passenger seat.
The driver, Denzel Barnes, and his passenger, Mickey Ringer, faced serious charges after the discovery of methamphetamine and an unregistered gun. Ringer, who provided a false name during the stop, was found with additional meth concealed in his pocket while being booked into jail. Both men now face a series of charges, with Ringer’s history of felony warrants adding to the gravity of their situation.
