Canada Border Services Agency officers recently intercepted illegal gun parts shipped from the U.S. to mail processing plants in Mississauga and Montreal. These seizures resulted in the arrest of 42-year-old Wei Xu, who faces ten charges, including firearms offences and smuggling, following the discovery of various weapons and prohibited devices at his home and vehicle.
The operation, led by the Ontario Firearms Smuggling Enforcement Team, highlights ongoing efforts to prevent illegal firearms from entering Canadian communities. Among the items confiscated were an SKS rifle, high-capacity magazines, and personal identification documents, with suspicions of fraud involved.
