Two men are arrested for armed carjacking after a dramatic incident on February 14th on I-65 in Indiana. The suspects, identified as Cain M. Knaus, 26, and Stephanie V. Raices, 34, approached stopped vehicles wielding a knife after crashing their own car. They physically assaulted the driver of a nearby Acura to steal the vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Law enforcement quickly launched a coordinated response, discovering the abandoned Acura shortly after the carjacking. A K9 unit tracked the suspects to a nearby fire station, where they turned up claiming to have been robbed, ultimately matching the descriptions given to police.
