Indiana Men Arrested After Armed Carjacking Incident

Two men are arrested for armed carjacking after a dramatic incident on February 14th on I-65 in Indiana. The suspects, identified as Cain M. Knaus, 26, and Stephanie V. Raices, 34, approached stopped vehicles wielding a knife after crashing their own car. They physically assaulted the driver of a nearby Acura to steal the vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Law enforcement quickly launched a coordinated response, discovering the abandoned Acura shortly after the carjacking. A K9 unit tracked the suspects to a nearby fire station, where they turned up claiming to have been robbed, ultimately matching the descriptions given to police. Both Knaus and Raices face several charges, including armed robbery and auto theft, underscoring the seriousness of their actions in the wake of a chaotic series of events.
