Lancaster Man Admits to Home Burglary and Gun Theft

Brandon Thomas, a 22-year-old from Lancaster Township, pleads guilty to charges of burglary and theft after breaking into an occupied house in May 2023 and stealing two handguns worth more than $3,600. The incident occurred late at night as the homeowner slept on the second floor, highlighting the alarming reality of home invasion crimes in the area.

During the burglary, Thomas, who initially denied involvement, was caught trying to access the resident’s vehicle when the homeowner discovered him. Even though the firearms have not been recovered, authorities are concerned they could be used in future crimes, raising significant questions about public safety. Thomas is set to be sentenced in the coming months following a pre-sentence investigation.
