Chicago police arrest Besnik Ismajlaj after he brings a loaded Glock 9mm handgun onto a flight at O’Hare International Airport. The 53-year-old slipped through TSA Security Checkpoint 2 during a shift change on April 15, manages to board the plane, and is apprehended just minutes before takeoff.
Body camera footage reveals the moment officers confront Ismajlaj in first class, where he calmly admits, “Yeah, it’s in my bag.” Despite a TSA agent spotting the weapon during the X-ray screening, Ismajlaj retrieves his bag and departs before the gun can be confiscated. He faces charges for carrying a concealed firearm at an airport and is scheduled for a court appearance on June 9.
