Authorities reported that the shooting, described as a “targeted incident,” occurred around 7:08 a.m. Police swiftly located the suspect at a home in nearby Macomb Township within three hours of the shooting. As the medical facility gradually returned to normal operations, local residents received emergency alerts advising them to avoid the area, underscoring rising concerns about gun violence in hospitals during targeted attacks.
