Detectives from the Drug and Organised Crime Division have successfully seized multiple stolen firearms during an operation at an unoccupied residence in Virginia. The early morning raid uncovered a large steel toolbox containing a variety of weapons, including a .22 calibre pistol, a sawn-off 12-gauge shotgun, an AR15 Colt rifle, and more.
Among the seized firearms is an AR15 Colt, which is believed to be inoperable and was stolen from the Darwin Military Museum in May 2024. Detective Superintendent Lee Morgan emphasized the importance of removing illegal firearms from the community, stating that every weapon taken off the streets reduces the risk of serious harm. Forensic analyses are underway, as authorities urge the public to report any information regarding unregistered or stolen firearms.
