NYC Man Shot Dead by Gunman on Scooter in Brooklyn

A scooter-riding gunman shot and killed a 45-year-old man in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, late Friday night, leaving the community in shock. The victim, identified as Elijah Scott, was walking near his home when multiple bullets struck him, reportedly leaving him critically injured before he succumbed to his wounds at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn.

Scott was remembered by family as a devoted uncle and caring individual who often prioritized his loved ones. Friends quickly set up a memorial of candles at the scene after the shooting, reflecting on his kind nature. Police continue to investigate the incident, searching for the suspect, who was last seen fleeing the scene on a black electric scooter, wearing a baseball cap and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
