A 17-year-old has been charged with armed robbery in connection with a June incident in Peoria that involved three adults, raising concerns about youth violence in the area. The juvenile, along with adults Marcus King, Roget Caige, and Tramerreon Blake, allegedly ambushed a victim and their friend, displaying handguns and demanding personal belongings including shoes and jewelry.
According to the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office, there is a motion to transfer the teen to adult court, highlighting the serious nature of the crime. The victims reportedly recognized the suspects, with evidence suggesting two of the adult defendants were wearing stolen items during their arrest.
