Between 2015 and 2022, mass shootings with four or more fatalities demonstrated that the use of these magazines resulted in more than twice the number of fatalities and nearly ten times the number of injuries compared to incidents without them. The bill, supported by numerous co-sponsors, also proposes buyback programs and empowers law enforcement to seize illegal magazines, underscoring its comprehensive approach to fighting gun violence.
