A suspected armed robber was hospitalized following an officer-involved shooting in Covington, Kentucky, on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. near the U.S. Bank on Madison Avenue after police were notified of a robbery in progress and subsequently pursued the suspect, identified as Charles Davis, who reportedly ignored multiple commands to stop.
Witnesses described the chaotic scene, with one bystander likening the gunfire to something out of a “mafioso movie,” as they heard several shots ring out in a busy area. Fortunately, no officers were harmed during the confrontation, and authorities confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public. The suspect is currently in stable condition at UC Medical Center, while the Kentucky State Police are now investigating the incident.
