Teen Arrested with Loaded Gun at Montgomery High School

A 15-year-old boy was arrested after bringing a loaded handgun onto Montgomery High School’s campus in Santa Rosa, California. Although he was not enrolled in the school, staff noticed the unfamiliar teenager before classes began and alerted authorities who apprehended him without incident.

The loaded weapon and an additional magazine were discovered in his backpack, leading to his booking for several firearm-related offenses. In response to the situation, school administrators are emphasizing the importance of safety, encouraging parents to discuss the risks of weapons at school with their children.
