A 15-year-old boy is facing serious charges following an attempted armed robbery in Frankfort, New York, where he allegedly brandished a BB gun at a group of youths. The Frankfort Police Department reports that the incident occurred late last week when the suspect and a 16-year-old approached victims wearing ski masks and allegedly attempted to rob them at gunpoint.
Responding quickly to the scene, police detained the teens after one of the victims identified them nearby. The 15-year-old was found in possession of a Crossman Classic 4.5 mm BB gun, which resembled a real firearm, leading to multiple charges including attempted robbery and weapons possession. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, raising concerns about youth crime in the area.
