San Angelo police apprehend a 14-year-old boy after he allegedly fled Lincoln Middle School, leading officials to discover a handgun in the vicinity. The incident began when a school resource officer responded to an altercation and attempted to detain the student, who then ran and discarded items into a nearby field.
Upon his capture, the juvenile threatened the officer and was arrested on multiple charges, including evading arrest and unlawful carrying of a weapon. In addition to the firearm, authorities recovered a bag containing vaping devices, highlighting ongoing concerns regarding student safety and weapon possession in schools.
