Texas Gulf Coast ranchers are collaborating with federal and state agencies to restore wetlands, creating an ideal habitat for over 16 species of ducks and a host of wildlife. The Lavaca Rio Ranch, located near Victoria, has transformed its landscape over nearly a decade, shifting from traditional cattle and rice farming to vibrant wetlands that support diverse ecosystems, including bald eagles and turkeys.
