Agents from the Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force (BINTF) have arrested three individuals in Oroville after uncovering a substantial drug trafficking operation, seizing over 500 grams of fentanyl along with multiple firearms. Among those arrested are 36-year-old Cameron Garciaponce, 35-year-old Sharlee Clark, and 35-year-old Richard Guttridge, with instances of child endangerment coming to light as a one-year-old was present during the arrest.
The investigation began when BINTF agents received information regarding Garciaponce’s alleged fentanyl trafficking activities in Butte County. Their search led to the discovery of significant amounts of fentanyl and three handguns, including a ghost gun, in a vehicle with children nearby. Authorities emphasize the seriousness of the case, as the involvement of children has resulted in these arrests triggering protocols from the Drug Endangered Children program, ensuring protective measures for the minors involved.
