Montgomery County police have charged two men, 64-year-old Alvin Chun and 62-year-old Ronald Wesley Johnson, in connection with a series of armed bank robberies that took place earlier this year in Kensington. The first robbery occurred on February 1, when one suspect displayed a firearm while demanding money from a teller at an M&T Bank, marking the beginning of a criminal spree that reportedly included additional robberies in February and March.
Both suspects are also linked to investigations in neighboring jurisdictions, raising concerns over broader criminal activity in the region. Johnson, who was arrested on April 8, now faces charges including two counts of armed robbery and first-degree assault, while Chun, taken into custody on June 5, faces multiple charges tied to three separate robberies. Police continue to investigate, suggesting there may be further developments in the case.
